About these terms

AdoptAI Personal is operated by Adoptai. Contact bertie@adoptai.studio with questions about these terms. They describe the terms on which we provide the hosted personal workspace. Separate written agreements may apply to other Adoptai services. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

Pilot access and your account

The pilot is available to invited adults aged 18 or over. Use an account you control, keep its sign-in secure and provide accurate account information. Tell us promptly if you suspect someone has accessed your workspace without permission. An invitation does not guarantee permanent access, a particular feature or an uptime commitment.

Connected services and your content

Connect only accounts, documents and conversations you are authorised to use. You are responsible for following your employer's rules, applicable law and the terms of services you connect, including where content concerns other people. Google and other providers can change their services, permissions or availability, and may require you to reconnect.

You retain your rights in the content you provide. You allow Adoptai and the service providers described in our privacy policy to access, copy, store and process that content to deliver the features you enable. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us or grant permission to sell it.

AI assistance and actions

AI outputs can be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. Check important information against the original source. Do not rely on AdoptAI as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, employment or other significant decisions.

Before enabling external AI, review the data-sharing notice and the configured provider's terms. Your own provider account may incur charges. Review proposed email recipients, message contents and calendar changes before approving an action. You are responsible for the actions you instruct or approve.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service unlawfully, infringe other people's rights, upload malicious material, attempt to access another user's workspace, bypass access controls, or deliberately disrupt the service. Report security concerns privately to bertie@adoptai.studio.

Charges

Any Adoptai fees, billing arrangements or paid plan must be separately disclosed and agreed before you are charged. These terms alone do not enrol you in a paid subscription. Charges from Google, an AI provider or another third-party service are governed by your agreement with that provider.

Availability, changes and responsibility

The pilot is under development. Features may change and interruptions or errors can occur. Keep independent copies of information you cannot afford to lose; AdoptAI is not a replacement for your original email, calendar or document service.

We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the service. We do not promise that AI outputs are accurate, that every source will remain available or that operation will be uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.

Stopping use, suspension and deletion

You can stop using AdoptAI and disconnect your accounts at any time. Disconnection does not erase all previously stored content. To request deletion of your workspace, contact bertie@adoptai.studio; the privacy policy explains deletion and backup limitations.

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security problems or legal obligations, or end the pilot. Where practical, we will give notice and explain how to request a copy or deletion of your information. Urgent security or legal action may require immediate suspension.

Updates and questions

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will identify the update date here and notify affected users of material changes before they take effect where practicable. If you do not agree with a material change, you can stop using the service and request deletion.

Please contact bertie@adoptai.studio first if you have a complaint so that we can try to resolve it. These terms do not remove any right to contact a regulator or bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law.
